Who Can Participate?

This challenge is open to all Manitoba high school students in grades 9-12. You can sign up as an individual or as part of a team.

Prizes

Three cash prizes will be awarded to the individuals or teams with the most impactful videos:

• 1st Prize: $2,000

• 2nd Prize: $1,200

• 3rd Prize: $800

How to Win

Create a 1.30 minute video reel to be premiered on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok that generates the most awareness and reach through likes and social shares. The more engaging your video, the higher your chances of winning.  A maximum of 10 videos will make it through to the final round. Finalists will be announced in March 2025. Complete a short questionaire and parental consent form with video submission.

• October 8, 2024 – Dive into the world of Climate Solutions and Communications! – Learn what Manitoba youth are doing and a brief bit on the challenges of communicating climate change. Watch the recording on Youtube!
  
• November 30, 2024 – Unleash the Buzz! Captivate Your Crowd
• January 2024 – Storyboarding Workshop
• January 2024 –  Videoediting Workshop
• March 7, 2025 –  Video Submissions Deadline
• March 15, 2025 – 10 finalists selected and notified
• April 1 – 22, 2025 – Earth Month – Public Launch of videos. (Videos will be posted to our website via Youtube and shared on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok).
